Sonic Trading Made Simple and Profitable
Happy Monday, traders! Today, I’ll walk you through two things every futures trader should know: how to roll over contracts in NinjaTrader and how to use the Sonic System to spot profitable trades.
Quick reminder: trading is risky—never risk money you can’t afford to lose.
Rolling Over with NinjaTrader
Futures contracts expire, so staying current is a must. When September’s E-mini S&P contract ended, I rolled over to December in just a few clicks:
- Open Control Panel
- Go to Tools → Database Management
- Update Futures Expirations
- Hit Roll Over
Your charts instantly update. If you’re running the Sonic System, all entries, stops, and targets automatically adjust to the new contract—no extra work required.
Sonic System Trade Example
On my one-minute E-mini chart, Sonic generated a long entry at 6675.25. Instead of relying on the ATM auto-strategy, I manually set my entry, target, and stop.
The result? A winning trade worth $200–$500 per contract, depending on size. That’s the kind of clear, rules-based opportunity the Sonic System delivers.
Trade Management Matters
Success isn’t just about signals—it’s about discipline.
- Up for the day? Walk away and lock in profits.
- First trade of the day? Hit your target, then look for one or two more setups.
Overtrading kills consistency. The Sonic System provides structure so you can focus on smart execution.
